History: 

De ACCORDEONTHEEK (English Name: the ACCORDIONARY) opened its doors
the 13th of november 1993, Street: Oude Gracht 27 Town: Alkmaar (The Netherlands)                                      

The focus was to create a meeting place for anyone interested in the Accordion, Diatonic Accordion,
Harmonica, Concertina or Bandoneon.

The store also sold above-mentioned instruments, as well as Accessories, Parts, Gadgets and
Music Books, Reference books etc.

At the same time owner Christiaan Duinmeijer started an Accordion School for beginners and
players who wanted to improve their skills.

The success grew and after 2 years the decision was made to move to a larger store,
Street: Oosterburgstraat nr. 17, Town: Alkmaar (The Netherlands).

Not only was the store popular in the Netherlands, but also across the border.

Customers from other countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Japan, USA and
Scandinavia found their way to the store.

To expand the activities on the Scandinavian market the decision was taken to move our store
to: Centrumvägen 26, Town: Åsarp (Sweden) on 13 July 2011, with the Swedish name: Dragspeloteket.

Nothing has changed in our working method, the only difference being that the location has changed.
